psuedo reverb – culturejam build

I had a couple of PT2399 ICs lying around for the last year and never found a schematic or layout I wanted to try. Since I’ve never worked with that IC I didn’t want it to be too complex right away. Now last week I found something I wanted to try and I think it’s […]

Lo-Fi Mic

I’ve had a couple of super cheap speakers from ISD1830 PCBs I wasn’t using so I though I’m gonna try something I read about (don’t ask me where tho). I connect it to a jacksocket and use it as a lo-fi microphone. Using my modular as a preamp it worked fine. It sounds pretty much […]

my essential setup

I guess for beginners it is interesting what tools and materials are most frequently used. I cannot speak for anyone but myself but these are the types of products I use in almost any build. Disclaimer: there are no products linked and I don’t want to do that because I don’t want to make any […]

Patchpals 1 – Introduction and ‘diode clipper’

A long time ago I found out that patchpals are a thing and easy to build. They are basically some jacks or sockets and a couple of components . Some wrap them in shrinkwrap afterwards but  I usually don’t because I never came around buying so gigantic shrinkwrap. I tried different designs and will make […]

Midi Looper/Sequencer

After finding the YT video I was sure I want this for my korg volcas. I was the first one buildong it besides the creator and I could even help him find smaller bugs and verify the fixes. Most of the content of this post is a copy of the original page. Here is the […]

Quantizer Buddy

My new Arcade Button CV Keyboard needed a quantizer buddy imo, so I simplified a quantizer Hagiwo inspired me to build. The design works with 5V or in my case 9V (which is regulated down to 5V by a 7805 linear voltage regulator circuit) Link to code: Here

Arcade Button CV Keyboard

This project was a bit tricky. At first I was not sure where to start. Do I want to use an opamp circuit or transistors for the logic part? Then I wanted to pack too many features in there. At some point I had a CMOS switch in there to switch audio signals as well […]

LFO – variable shape saw/tri

I built this one with a modificationsl from the original schematic. I added a switch to be able to choose two dofferent frequency ranges. One uses the original 47nF cap the other one is a 10uF nonpolar ceramic cap. Also I added a LED at the pulse out as indicator.

Shapes VCO – Moritz Klein Build

this is the Erikasynths Build of the Moritz Klein ‘shapes’ VCOI built it and it tracks okay I’d say. I used superglue on the transistors and 4 layers of shrinkwrap around them. I’m happy with it so far. Link to original project page: Here
