This more or less passive design is from Bummbummsteffen. He designed it for his drumrack and it works okay but using his words ‘Theres some distortion in the output. Furthermore the design doesn’t work with negative voltages.’ I built two of them on one protoboard and even built one more for the portable setup.

The PU is a combination of a passive mult (4 3.5mm jacksockets) and two passive attenuators. The multiple is easy to build. Just connect all signal pins with each other and the ground pins as well.
