EMF Mic

I’ve seen a video of one of m favouite youtubers andrew huang about an EMF microphone and he paid around 100$ for it. Then I googled a bit and found a makerzine article about a diy version. I built it and that’s what it looks like.

This is the look I choose for the case
On the inside – I added some decoupling and switched the opamp for a TL062 which is the ‘low power’ brother of the tl072.
This is the schematic + a layout I didn’t use but is definitely usable (I checked, please always do too šŸ˜‰)

I can only tell you it sounds wild and I attached it to a 9V battery and stereo headphones and went on a journey through the whole house. I especially liked the deep humm of my soldering iron and the weird glitch noises of my laptop. Have fun and lmk if you’ve found something I should check out -if available- in my house – contact me
