Lo-Fi Mic

I’ve had a couple of super cheap speakers from ISD1830 PCBs I wasn’t using so I though I’m gonna try something I read about (don’t ask me where tho). I connect it to a jacksocket and use it as a lo-fi microphone. Using my modular as a preamp it worked fine. It sounds pretty much like this: ‘Hello, this is your captain speaking. Welcome aboard…’

I used a discarded cassette case drilled some holes, some ducktape here and there, some cables and it was done.
This is what it looks on the inside. To make sure my bad cabling isn’t seen from the outside I used some fine sandpaper on both sides.
Please check the polarity of the speaker and wire the momentary button into the signal path
