Tuner module – Guitar Tuner Hack

The cables are running through a 6mm hole in the panel. This way I could even reuse parts of the plastic clamp for stabilisation.

My psu has a 5V rail and I soldered 3 1n4148 diodes in series to drop 2V to the 3V the tuner needs to function.

When you turn on the system mine doesn’t turn on automatically. But pressing the button 3 seconds turns it on just fine.

How to extend this module? If I do another one I will add a mult into the module to be able to loop the signal through.

Two weeks later I did exactly that 😅

I finished the external tuner yesterday. It has a barrel jack and takes +5V
